Back to Blogging

This is after. We scrubbed the grout and polished the floors, added new hardware to the cabinets, Dave put in a new kitchen sink and oven, new wood backsplash to the counters. And I painted the walls.
Look at the sun coming in!!!! My favorite part of this house!

Before...the owner was very artsy, just too flowery for me.

I've taken a bit of a haitus on blogging....but I appreciate all of those who have kept at it. We've been busy moving and stuff. We've moved about 20 min. away to another town called Delafield. The kids had to start in a new school and we are in a new ward and everything. It has been a great adjustment and a lot of hard work, but well worth it. We had originally tried to buy a house here, but just couldn't get it to work, so we were very lucky to find another rental. We were sad to move out of our last rental...best homeowners ever, great neighbors, ward, and lots of memories. Especially of baby Jane...being as it was her first house.

However, the new house so far has been wonderful. There's a bit more space, great ward with lots of youth for Tommy, and the kids are adjusting to new schools just fine. We are sure to meet our neighbors when hibernation is over and the ground thaws a little.
So, here's a little before and after.

Good job on the makeover!! I bet the owner loves all your hard work. I'll admit I hate seeing you having a party with all your new friends. You're supposed to be here!!!!

Looks like a lot of work, but I love what you did to the place. I agree, the sun coming in through the kitchen is a great feature. And I love that big window into the family room, which also looks quite nice. I wish I was nearby, so I could come by and check it out in person!
Welcome back to blogworld!

Your positive attitude is amazing. Your old house in Power Ranch is up for sale again... You should've tried that! :) You will always be missed for your spontaneity, amazingly fun and kind, & just totally my kind of party! Although I am happy you found a great home! ;)

I think you are one of the few "movers" I truly identify with. We do it often and grin & bear it! You always make the best of things. I miss you!! I wish my boys had Tommy around too!
