On Pioneers....to Kirtland!

This was the coolest KOA! It looks like it is cold, but it is actually hot and muggy.
Can you believe how old Tommy looks? Crazy! I'm not old enough to have an almost 7th grader, am I?

Who knew the KOA had fire truck rides around the park?

Jane did not like the siren so she had to get off very quickly.

Sorry for the double photo...I don't know how to delete it!

They played in the rain, and also participated in the guitar hero concert that night.
Here's a very lame petting zoo. Just some enormous goats.

Day 2

If anyone wonders why we do the KOA, well, here are the PROS:

Pools and lakes to play in

Paddle boats, putt-putt golf, etc.

Little stores to buy junk

Carting your stuff into the cabin is about 10 steps

Movies...Karoke...Guitar Hero Competitions...Fire truck rides...hay rides...petting zoos

No one is fixated on the TV

CONS:

No one is fixated on the TV

If the weather is bad, it can be messy

The bathrooms can be a hike (I do not recommend pregnant women to go to a KOA...and NO, this is not an announcement....this is from PREVIOUS experience!)

You have to bring your own towels

The people there can be a little....let's just say "earthy"

So, obviously, we fit right in!

The second day of driving was no big deal. It was an easy 4 hour drive. We arrived at our second KOA, near Kirtland, which had a great lake and slide. We spent the rest of the day there.
